Sophie Maguire

Sophie Maguire is a project designer at PFS Studio (Vancouver, Canada) and an Adjunct Professor at University of British Columbia’s School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. She holds a Masters in Landscape Architecture from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design (2017) and a Bachelors in Political Science and Dance from Connecticut College (2010). While at the GSD she was the recipient of the Penny White Fund Prize for research on the Adventure Playgrounds of the United Kingdom and the South Asia Institute’s Travel Prize for research on the stepwells of India. Her writings have been published in Landscapes/Paysages, SAD Magazine and Harvard’s publication Kuala Lumpur: Designing the Public Realm. She has been a guest critic and guest lecturer at UBC, Harvard Career Discovery and RISD.
