Roo Angell and Bob Bagley are co-founders of Sayes Court Garden CIC. As local residents they set up a community-led project to critique, challenge and expand upon the proposals for the forthcoming Convoys Wharf development at Deptford, South-East London. The group has been successful in securing for the community the historic site of Sayes Court: John Evelyn’s seminal garden and later birthplace of the National Trust. A new centre for landscape and horticulture is now under development which aims to reach new audiences, change public perceptions and bring landscape to the forefront of the political agenda.
